Private Dance Lessons in London
Terms & Conditions
By booking a dance lesson with Edita, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions:
Payment
Payment must be made in full prior to the lesson.
The first lesson may be paid via PayPal if preferred. For all subsequent lessons, payment must be made by bank transfer, unless otherwise agreed.
This is to avoid transaction fees, which reduce the tutor's hourly rate.
Cancellations
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the lesson will be charged in full.
No-Shows
If you do not attend your dance lesson for whatever reason, and no cancellation notice is received more than 48 hours in advance, the full lesson fee will apply.
If you have to cancel, please ensure that you receive confirmation of the cancellation from Edita.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive, it will not be possible to extend your dance lesson. The tutor will have reserved and paid for the floor space for the duration of the lesson.
Suitability to Dance
The tutor holds Dance Teacher Insurance to cover incidents arising from their own professional conduct. Should you become injured, either through overexertion, misjudgement, or personal health issues, they cannot be held responsible or liable.
Please ensure you are fit enough to participate in the lesson.
Teaching Environment
Your lesson is a one-to-one with your tutor (maximum 2 clients), but other tutors may be on the same dance floor with their own clients during your session.
If you prefer, you may book exclusive use of the entire studio floor, but this must be arranged in advance and will incur an additional fee.
Safeguarding & Background Checks
The tutor holds a valid DBS certificate (Disclosure and Barring Service), verifying their suitability to work with children, young people, and individuals with disabilities.
This meets UK safeguarding standards and is available for inspection upon request.
Children & Babies
For clients under the age of 14, a parent or guardian must be present throughout the lesson, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
Lessons are are only suitable for children aged 5+.
Babies and toddlers must not be brought to a lesson as it can be distracting and unsafe in a studio environment.
When a child is participating in a lesson, only one parent or guardian may be present. This is to ensure a focused, distraction-free environment and to comply with studio capacity and safeguarding guidelines.
Animals
For health, safety, and focus, pets are not permitted in the studio. The nature of the space involves movement, shared dance floors, and potential hazards that make it unsuitable.
If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact me in advance to discuss your requirements.
Studio Access & Personal Items
To maintain a safe and uncluttered environment, large personal items are not permitted in the studio. This includes, but is not limited to:
luggage, prams, pushchairs, bicycles, and scooters.
If you need to bring any equipment for accessibility or medical reasons, please contact me in advance so I can make suitable arrangements.
Lessons Location
All dance lessons are held in a central London studio.
Lessons cannot be conducted in residential premises.
